The city of Bath comes to life at this time of year as seven streets near Bath Abbey are lit up with the Christmas Market. 18 days of magical merriment start on Thursday 22nd November and run until the 9th December with over 160 twinkling chalets spread out across Bath’s picturesque Georgian streets. Unique home ware, Christmas decorations and gifts attract thousands of visitors every year. Throughout the market, there are plenty of treats for the taste buds too – hog roast, caramelised nuts and aromatic mulled wine – to keep you toasty while you browse.
A special, topical touch this year is the green theme. Throughout the Market, the sparkling decorations adorning Abbeygate Street and Abbey Street will all be made using recycled plastic bags and bottles.
While Bath Christmas Market is certainly the city’s sparkling centrepiece, there is so much more to discover in Bath this Christmas. Explore the city and you will find a plethora of heritage attractions, exclusive shopping experiences and restaurants offering festive gastronomical delights. You can wrap up in winter clothes and enjoy ice skating in the city centre too.
And you can do all this whilst you stay with us at Kingham Cottage. It is so cozy with the inglenook fireplace yet it has all the modern conveniences of home. Have we tempted you? We hope so.
For paying guests, you can visit Classic Cottages to check prices and availability, safe in the knowledge that 100% of your booking fee covers the costs we incur making the cottage available to carers for free breaks – all year round. Please join the families who have enjoyed a break courtesy of After Umbrage and felt a boost to their wellbeing. And if you know carers in your network, please share this news with them.
