The UK’s charities need your help
Can you help us? Like the other 170,000 UK charities, we are struggling with our fundraising due to lockdown. But, we have a plan. And you can be part of it.
There’s no need to be a marathon runner to take part either. The #TwoPointSixChallenge is a challenge for all ages and abilities.
The challenge idea is based around the number 26 or 2.6 and it starts on the day the London Marathon 40th Anniversary was due to take place: Sunday 26th April. It’s called the 2.6 Challenge.
You could run 2.6 miles, make 26 cupcakes, skip around your garden 26 laps – take the liberty to be creative.
There are no rules – other than keeping within government guidelines on social distancing and exercising safely. Furthermore, the brief is to have fun, to take part, get involved, get active and donate whatever you can to help save UK charities. We would, of course, be very grateful if you choose After Umbrage as your cause.
There are just five simple steps to take:
- Dream up your 2.6 challenge
- Head to twopointsixchallenge.co.uk to donate £26 or whatever you can afford. As little as £2.60 each will keep us going. And, make sure you go through the Virgin Money Giving Fundraising Button then to After Umbrage to set up a fundraising page
- Ask all your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to do their own 2.6 Challenge
- Complete your challenge
- Share a photo or video of your challenge on social media with #TwoPointSixChallenge and don’t forget to tag us!
For further information on The 2.6 Challenge, including a list of partners and supporters, and for more ideas about what your activity could be, visit twopointsixchallenge.co.uk.
So that it is easy to get involved, we have a super easy option for you – The After Umbrage Quiz. Gather a team, we’ll send you the questions and answers, enjoy the quiz and make a donation. It’s that simple.
Follow the link above. You are doing the #twopointsixchallenge from the 26th April 2020 for After Umbrage.
